Changing your Kismet

There is really no person who can say with all the confidence that he or she is totally free from any desire whatsoever.  When we, on the spiritual path, have adopted the nature of a Santushtamani, it means we have learnt a great deal of restraint The mind is very volatile and constantly receiving inputs either from other people or the environment or unknowingly from our own past Sanskars. To be totally desireless itself is a great spiritual achievement. This is why keeping one's mind  positive is so important, because that helps in shielding oneself from all negative influences. This brings us to the point of our hidden Sanskars which are active all the while. We cannot change the Sanskars overnight, but it is possible all the same. Through a slow process, our attitude, our mindset and our habit pattern can be altered, which will change the Sanskars, however deeply they may be engraved in the subconscious. This really is the most important and also a difficult part of the Purusharth.  If you change your Sanskars, you have automatically changed your Kismet..
