Power of Higher Intellect

In one of her talks, BK Usha Behn ji mentioned about two sources of  Power of Gyaan. One is the inner source and the other, the outer source. The inner source is inherent one that lies deep in our consciousness, but not easily accessible due to several layers of, shall we say debris covering it; such as our attachments, our different beliefs based on our past experiences and also the sanskars which we ourselves are not quite aware of. The outer source which lies hidden behind the Sun is again invisible to our physical eyes. This is seen only through the third eye. Spiritual awakening is possible only when we have access to these two sources of Higher Intellect. In case of the first, layers of debris covering that Inner Light have to be taken away, while in case of the second, where one has to open the third eye, one must quieten the mind and keep it focused. Then the obvious solution for both is through Raj Yoga, in which one trains the mind to be detached from Maya's temptations, together with serious meditation  to silence the mind and keep it focused on the third eye.

Positive Vibrations

Just a short while ago I read a message of Janki Dadiji, which worked like a booster for me. I realized what an ocean of love she is. She takes responsibility for spreading Positive Vibrations wherever she goes in the world.  It is like irrigating a land that is parched and crying for a few drops of water, giving hope and encouragement to someone disillusioned with life, giving a 56 bhog thali to someone who has not seen a square meal in days. Such is the magic in her words loaded with love which can only originate from the heart of a Saint. She says don't take to heart any harsh words of  people, but take courage even if someone defames you, because she knows what qualities each person has  She advises each of us not to get trapped in the negativities of this world, and instead carry on with the good work that you feel you ought to be doing. What beautiful thoughts!  Om Shanti !!!

Keeping Away from Waste Thoughts

There is no shortage in Maya's bundle of tricks to attract your Mann, Buddhi and Sanskars towards the wasteful thoughts called Vyartha.  Vyartha distracts the Purusharthi from his path and eats into his useful time. In these modern times, what arrived as a great facility such as a Mobile phone, even that, has gradually turned into a subtle agent of Maya. One needs to be firm in use of these type of gadgets, by saying: 'I shall make use of it to the extent that is right for a Purusharthi and no more.'  If you can overcome these temptations, the next step is, when past memories start to run amock in your mind,. practice using Bindi, a pucca  fullstop on those thoughts and memories. And if any of your past events seem to repeat in your life, you can dismiss them from weighing on your mind by repeating  ':Nothing New '. Soon you will find yourself free from all those waste thoughts.

Hero of Mahabharat - Arjun

In his Epic, Veda Vyas has described Arjun as the hero of Mahabharat. What he saw in his hero, were certain special qualities as mentioned by BK Savita Behn in one of her talks. These virtues made Arjun a formidable warrior, someone we all can try to emulate.  1)Sahan Shakti, Endurance Power  2)Parivartan Shakti, changing the focus from self to universe  3)Contemplation on Spiritual Knowledge  4)Introspection and endeavouring to rectify one's own faults  5)Shanti, internalising and silencing the mind  6)Bindi Lagana, putting a full-stop on all fantasizing  7) Freeing oneself from Karma Bandhan, control over old Sanskars coming-up  8)Sanghatan Shakti, power of motivating people to co-operate.  For any person to cultivate all these qualities requires that the person should have strength of character, integrity, sense of direction and above all a genuine capacity to allow space to other people. These qualities made Arjun a dear friend of the Lord.

Raj Yoga the Key To Balanced Life

Raj Yoga is predominantly about training the mind and living a balanced life. In today's world, one is expected to be result oriented and there is a strong belief that' If you are not One-up, you are One-down.' There is peer pressure, boss's pressure and above all, society's expectations, all of which are shifting from the old Indian Satopradhan  nature to a highly Rajopradhan materialistic life-style.Old Indian lifestyle is now redundant, because the society is getting more and more competitive. Now who would like to be left behind ?  But then, if one wants to go all out for it, there is a risk of  loosing one's peace of mind. This is why many people  are now seen taking solace from Yoga and Meditation. Some 60 years back Intelligence Quotient -I. Q. for short, was all important. But in the recent past, people have discovered that Emotional Quotient E. Q. is also of equal value, if not more.To be realistic, both are required in proper balance. The Brain has two hemispheres, the Left and the Right. The function of Left is mostly analytical and mathematical , while that of Right hemisphere is to synthesize, innovate and bring about a wise decision. All through our educational life, we learnt mostly to use the Left Brain to improve I.Q. With meditation and an overall training in Raj Yoga one learns to use the Right Brain so as to develop E.Q.  This way you bring balance into your life.

Quality of Meditation for Teevra Purushartha

In the ultimate analysis, one finds that unless you do full justice to your daily meditation, you will never feel satisfied. Meditation which we call Yog depends on many factors. Firstly your Gyan  and how much love and closeness  you have developed for Shiv Baba. Then comes the stillness of body. It may not look very important to some, but imagine yourself  having joint pain and you are not able to sit in one position for long, your mind will wander from one joint to another. If you get over this hurdle, there comes the problem of how to keep the mind silent. Mind is known to produce something like 86000 thoughts in a day or more. The fine tuning of mind is a major part of this training process. First you have to improve the quality of thoughts. If the thoughts are of coarse nature their tendency to chatter is more. Finer quality will facilitate in making the thought process smoother. Then you can with some effort reduce their speed and gradually introduce space between the two thoughts. With practice then you have to increase this spacing more and more. It is this space between two thoughts that produce moments of silence. More inner silence you have better will be the quality of your Meditation.

Chintan ki Dhaara

Apni Chintan ki Dhaara badal Do,  is a song urging us to change the direction of our thinking. Our mind is by nature volatile and it moves in a linear movement, only in the direction in which his master has initially taught him and drilled him into. Mind becomes so rigid at this point of time, that no matter how much effort someone else makes, he will want to stick to his old original training. Changing the way the mind should start thinking is an awfully difficult task.To change his direction, you have to be not only a better trainer, but one who has lots of  patience, perseverance and also willingness to do some laborious work added to that. The method suggested in Raj Yoga is that one must make a determined effort to remember Shiv Baba all the time or at least at certain specified time such as at 4.00 a.m. and again at bed time. By doing this, the mind now understands that the master does not want that he should follow the old programme any more, and perhaps a little reluctantly and gradually will abide by the new programme. The Raj Yoga practitioner will know by experience how beneficial this is .Your mind, your consciousness saturated with remembrance of Baba will fill you completely with positivity. You will feel so much lighter and full of exuberance as you have never experienced before.

Manmana Bhava

Manmana Bhava is a very important message. It is said 'One must remember Alif and make as many people remember Alif '. This is considered our topmost obligation and in a lighter vein was called the wholesale business, everything else being retail. By remembering Alif  i.e. Paramatma constantly, one fills up the consciousness with positivity, and then by convincing others of its value you prepare a strong reservoir to protect it from leakages. And yet, as you know Maya has her own ways of making inroads to see that there are leakages. Maya is known to be all negativity. The primary channel she uses is our own negative thinking, consisting of  regrets of past suffering, burden of present responsibilities and anxiety for the future. As we know well that there is no way to control these to any great extent, because we are committed to our role in the world drama. The other channel of her's is also our weaknesses like Kama, Krodha, Moha etc. Only by building a strong  Positive Reservoir through process of  Manmana Bhava can we win the battle against Maya. We will discuss this in detail later, but meantime it will be worthwhile if you contemplate on this subject.

One World, One Family, One God

If this is the principle on which our Brahmakumaris institute is founded, it is simply because of one reason and that is, we all are without any exception, Children of One Paramatma that is ShivBaba. Now that is one aspect.  Second aspect is whether the person is actually following the Shrimat or not, which eventually decides whether he or she can be said to belong to Brahman Parivar or more specifically whether he is entitled to be graded as one of  Brahma Mukha Vanshavali.  When you start grading people on this basis, it is also important for those giving marks to be completely free of any bias. One who judges people should himself make sure through serious introspection, whether he is in the habit of using different filters for different people.  In any case, one need not pass any judgement, unless he or she can further guide the person involved and mend the habits of the person involved. To pass a judgement involves lot of responsibility and such work should not be undertaken by a person of average ability.  In conclusion, we should be more generous in our attitude of One World, One Family, One God.  A good healthy positive attitude, with a sprinkling of love and kindness is needed to spread. a vibration that welcomes people rather than deflect them.

How one becomes a Lighthouse

When one becomes free from desires, avarice and disproportionate ambitions, it shows in the behavior and interactions of that person with the people in his contact. One must know what has brought about this change of attitude and behavior?  It shows that this person has understood the difference between benevolent action, neutral action and sinful action and after clear understanding, has decided to perform only elevated actions. While performing actions, he seems to have maintained a balance of heart and head i.e.his emotions and thoughts, because balance increases the level of his success. But most important of all, he has to be like an ocean of love and peace, because without it,one cannot give space to others. You may have the Gyan- the Light of spiritual knowledge and you could have acquired Siddhis - the Might, but without becoming Satopradhan, by erasing the doubts and tribulations of your past miseries and then successfully replacing them with constant memory of Baba, you cannot become a beacon of ' Light and Might', giving Drishti and Sakash to people, effectively. Only one who has reached complete Satopradhan State can be said to be qualified to have this Double Crown.

Knowing Yourself

When one takes to study of Raj Yoga, the foremost thing one has to understand is that Soul is our essential Being. If we think of the Soul as eternal, I presume we are thinking of it as a pure consciousness, one that is devoid of Sanskars. But at our level of existence, we are an individual Soul, because of the individual Sanskars that we are carrying with it. Therefore every individual Soul is special. This individual Soul is on a journey from one incarnation to another. We are constantly in contact with external material world and therefore tend to be influenced by it. Reason for this is, we have become detached from the Soul awareness. If we are firm in our belief that our Soul is our essential Being, we would have been in Soul awareness and it is then that we don't get influenced by the environment surrounding us. To be in this awareness, we need to do a lot of meditation. In the silence of meditation our belief in who we really are gets firmly grouted. Then we are not influenced by external world of day to day life.  .

Santushtata --the Ornament of Brahman Jeevan

Santushtata is contentment . It is one spiritual virtue that one cannot live without and still expect to make any progress. There is no universal rigid norm or standard in which you can set it or confine it. And because it is so broad based, that the matter is so difficult.to understand and assimilate in our day to day Tapaswi life. This quality has to be cultivated, no matter whether it appears logical or not. Since Baba has emphasised it in his teachings we are bound to cultivate it in our Brahman Jeevan. As Anasuya Didi has said in one of her talks, if a person of Brahman Parivar does not possess this quality, it is well nigh impossible for him  to be in any way contact with Baba. Now coming to the point of how one can cultivate this Santushtata, Didi has given one simple method; that we should make a list of all things that we have got so far. The list should be so long,  that this one little item whose absence is making you Asantushta or disgruntled, should in comparison, appear infinitely small. With steady practice, one cultivates a personality of a satisfied, fully Santushta person. Like an ornament, this will give you a new glorious aura, very easily perceptible to all those with whom you will come in contact. Needless to say, this will take you so much closer to Baba..

Inborn Talents and Cultivated Talents

We being children of one spiritual father need not compete with one another. Our Baba has not spared any effort in giving each of us some special talent. He never differentiates between one of lowly birth or whether one is born a prince. To Him all are equal. Many of us do not get a chance to make use of the talent, and some are not even aware of the special quality that they are in possession of until some discerning person points out to him and offers him a chance. Then almost dramatically that person becomes famous. Now this is one type of a story. But there is also another side to this story. There are some people who from their early childhood know of their inborn talent because everyone around him appreciates them and talks about it. You can say there are number of positive angles to this condition. Yet, from the purely spiritual angle, there is a negative tag to this. Baba sent us into this world with specific role and Baba expects us to grow in different dimensions. He has not sent us to play the same record over and over again as if the needle was stuck in one groove. He has offered us numerous avenues in which to gain new knowledge and grow. To be worthy children of our beloved Baba, we must demonstrate to Him that we are willing to grow and make His dream come true. Let your original talent be the main stay, but give a chance for some new complementary talent to also grow and make your life richer.

Surrender

When we say Surrender, what comes to our mind is surrendering to a higher power. For us spiritual students of Rajyog it would mean surrendering to Shiv Baba. It is our daily ritual when we recognize our true identity as a pure Soul and meet our Baba to spend some time with Him and recharge ourselves. We know quite well how much we are in need of the re-charge. There are people in this world who have lived through the whole life believing they are capable of running their life without the help from any external force or power. Contrary to this there are those who are  totally of the belief that they are merely passive instruments, while even the smallest tasks are done or performed by the almighty, and prefer to do just nothing. We find this  quite paradoxical and difficult to reconcile. What we need to recognize is, since we know that God is the creator of this Universe, He is also the script writer of our role in this world-drama. While God has the full knowledge of all the twists and turns in our life, we are merely acting out our role according to the circumstances offered to us. It is therefore wise to allow God to be our navigator and we be the sailors. One has to be intuitively connected to the navigator through remembrance and yog, so as to get His guidance from time to time. It will certainly make your life far more easier to live in.

Power of Bliss

Bliss is Anand. Among all the Satogun, Anand is said to be the strongest. The reason for this is that while all the others have an opposite, Anand has no opposite. It stands by itself on its own strength. It has no duality. It is just so.When a Tapaswi has Bliss he or she does not need anything else. You can say Anand is the mother of all other Satogun. It was said by one Sister that this was why most of the Saannyasis like to add  'anand' to their name as a suffix e.g. Dayanand  or  Vivekanand and so on. Just imagine a state where you have no Anand, life will not be worth living. For an average person even a small fraction of Bliss called joy is enough to enliven him. When a Yogi reaches that state of Bliss, the culmination of joy, he will experience Oneness with God, Oneness with Shiv Baba.  Just ponder on this phenomena commonly known as 'samadhi state'. For a pursharthi, the most beautiful and effective Swamaan that he can use is 'I am Power of Bliss'.

Passport to Golden Age

It is Shivbaba's wish that all His beloved children pass the exam for entrance into the Golden Age with honours. Baba has taken it upon Himself to come down to this Earth in Sangam Yug and give regular guidance to those Souls who are interested. It is therefore obligatory that, we the candidates, have to work towards His dream. Baba wants to see us in His image i. e. complete with Satogun. By now we are pretty well clear that Sattwa can be planted only when all the Tamasic qualities like Kam , Krodha and Moha (attachments) are destroyed or atleast reined in. We know well how a farmer prepares the soil, by destroying all the weeds and spreading fertilizer before sowing the seeds, because in his wisdom he knows how to get a good crop. Baba often reminds us that these Tamasic qualities in us are our greatest enemies. He has also given us guidelines on how one can bring them under the control of our Buddhi. The first step is to go into silence for atleast few hours every day.. Then reduce your contact with outer world, particularly your T.V. etc. Practice speaking softly, slowly and sweetly. Change your attitude from arrogance to humility. Cultivate lot of patience and forgiveness. Spend more time in seclusion and meditation. All this will make you Antarmukhi i.e.interiorised. One can then build a rapport direct with Baba, who will readily transform you in His mould.

Purpose of Life ln Sangam Yug

We came into this material world with Soul qualities intact. But  having lived in the physical body, and due to the influence of  the outer world, we have acquired new qualities. The purpose of our coming  here was just to fulfill our desires and wild curiosities of our past life and get some new experience in the bargain. We are here to play our role. The purpose was never to change or loose our Soul qualities, which are so precious. It can be said that everyone  who turns to spiritual life here, does it because the strange recently acquired qualities have hi-jacked their life, making them restless and uncomfortable. So, they are now seeking the original qualities of Soul in the hope of finding  peace.  As the life's end starts nearing, it becomes more and more important to dislodge our newly acquired traits, likes and dislikes and recapture our original Soul qualities viz. Gyan, Pavitrata, Prem, Shanti,Sukh, Anand and Shakti. The Confluence Age, the Sangam Yug  is about to end, and therefore we should put all our efforts in preparing to go back to our Source, the Paramdham, with all the Soul qualities still intact  .Like one Sister said, Khali Haath nahi jaana hai, Bharke jaana hai.

Ishwer Apne Saath Hai

Ishwer apne saath hai, Phir darne ki kya baat hai. This starting line of a beautiful BK song inspired me to write on it. We have many times heard this before, if you have faith in God, all you have to do is to leave everything to Him and be free. For those of us who have surrendered to Baba completely this is not difficult, because when our faith is so implicit we have already started to see some visible results. Then, there is no need for anyone to come and convince us. It has already become our experiential knowledge. If by any chance you feel unsure of your success, it is an indication that your faith in Baba is dwindling, or it could be your own ego is overtaking you. Think about it.

Thursday 5 June 2014

Yadon Me Shiv Ko Samao, O Maanav

The song urges you to fill your mind and memories with the name of Shiva and in return offers: Paramanand, an everlasting Bliss. By being immersed in these positive memories of Kalyankari Shiva, you can dispel your fears, your ignorance and any negativities that you may be carrying in your consciousness. It is a Law of nature, that when there is light, there is no question of darkness. The two cannot co-exist. To remember Shiv Baba every moment of your life, with every breath, requires that much intensity of devotion for Him, that much love and closeness for your Baba as your spiritual father, constantly remembering the line--Mere to  Shivbaba Ek, Doosaro na Koi.  To be so focused, one has to remove all the waste thoughts from the mind, remove all negative emotions which is a burden you cannot afford to have. To be totally attached to Baba, one should try to detach from all those things or even people, to whom you were once so attached.  Yes.  It is a Tyaag,  a sacrifice. Once Baba sees you are conforming to  His Srimat, His teachings, that is when you will see a transformation taking place from within you and that too without your making any effort.

Fly to the Future

We are in the Sangam Yug, the confluence of Kaliyug and Satyug. We might have suffered some 1250 years of Kaliyug, but there is now the silver lining. Our shining days are here. We are about to enter the Satyug where there will be impeccable Peace and Love, affluence and abundance, end of suffering and beginning of unconditional joy. When Shivbaba gave this vision to  Brahmababa, it must have looked like a dream to the average persons. People those days were so mesmerized by the technological development, they could not believe that the Kaliyug was to end so abruptly making way for Satyug, of which they had only heard in the Mythological literature. Very few wanted to join the Om Mandali, which later became Brahmakumaris. A great many difficulties had to be faced in the early days by them. Today,  in contrast we have this sprawling big organisation, serving the world and educating people of every faith and religion, without any bias or hidden agenda. We, who are the children of Brahma Mukha Vanshavali, must consider ourselves very fortunate to have been inducted into this philosophy. We have to make every effort to make ourselves worthy of a place in the coming Golden Age, by walking on the footsteps of those who have walked before us and guided us.

Nirvighna Bano

Vighna means obstacle or a road-block in your path. No one wants a disturbance or delay.  Everything should move smoothly like a well oiled machine .So we have been trained to think of being a Vighnaharta.  Harta in this case is a destroyer, and therefore it presupposes that there is some kind of an obstacle out there. As far as Brahmakumaris are concerned, we are advised not to allow the negative thought that there existed any Vighna in the first place. They have propounded a totally  positive concept  of   Nirvighna   i. e. non - existence of any obstacle. However, nothing is free in this world. Nirvighna state comes for a price. The price you pay is in the form of certain Purushartha.  Remain always positive by complete faith in the Drama remaining a Santushtamani,  Vyartha se mukta meaning free from waste thoughts,  giving Sakaash  (sending good wishes) to all, knowing that what you give to the world,  you will receive;  then give yourself Swamaan  throughout the day  i. e. those affirmations that strengthen your Self -respect of being  Shiv Baba's child.   If this is not enough, keep reminding yourself that you are constantly under the protective umbrella of  Baba.

How the Soul gets its Immunity

Until such time that the Soul reaches the stage of total transformation, it is still in a fragile state.  Many Brahmins who are very regular with their Purushartha may remain content as long as they have covered Purity, Peace, and Gyan (spiritual knowledge). Many Pursharthis may give very little attention to covering Joy, Contentment, Love, Compassion and Forgiveness, all of which will take them to true spiritual maturity or what is called Transformation. There is no halfway house really on this path. One has to go to the logical conclusion. The Soul has to be immune from all those ripple effects which keep charging at it and putting all our previous efforts into jeopardy. Immunity is so important, because without it we cannot ensure full progress. Thinking objectively, one thing I like about Brahmakumaris is, that they unlike others, do not talk only about the well-being of body and mind, but also of wellness of the Soul which as they keep emphasizing is our true identity and nature.

Changing your Kismet

There is really no person who can say with all the confidence that he or she is totally free from any desire whatsoever.  When we, on the spiritual path, have adopted the nature of a Santushtamani, it means we have learnt a great deal of restraint The mind is very volatile and constantly receiving inputs either from other people or the environment or unknowingly from our own past Sanskars. To be totally desireless itself is a great spiritual achievement. This is why keeping one's mind  positive is so important, because that helps in shielding oneself from all negative influences. This brings us to the point of our hidden Sanskars which are active all the while. We cannot change the Sanskars overnight, but it is possible all the same. Through a slow process, our attitude, our mindset and our habit pattern can be altered, which will change the Sanskars, however deeply they may be engraved in the subconscious. This really is the most important and also a difficult part of the Purusharth.  If you change your Sanskars, you have automatically changed your Kismet..

Positive thoughts are creators of Good Fortune

Thoughts have the power to create, because they are waves in the cosmos with certain inherent vibratory rate. Good thoughts: thoughts of love, kindness, happiness, contentment, forgiveness are all positive thoughts;  whereas hatred, jealousy, anger, anxiety and discontent etc. are negative thoughts. One must often make an audit of one's own mind to know which side it is tilting. Once we are convinced that our mind is generating the waves and the effect of it works on our luck, we will want to know more about this phenomena. You will soon know how the positive thoughts create good luck and vice- versa. The negative thoughts are not always ours. They could come from exposure to wrong people or outside environment. So one must take care to insulate ourselves from this type of exposure. One most effective remedy for this is to learn to speak or listen only to God. Whatever that may be bothering you, speak to Baba about it and He will give you  the right direction. This way you fill your life with good fortune.

Gains of practising Raj Yog

In those early days, when BK was just taking a foothold in Bombay, we were being offered Sahaj Rajyog, a new concept for us locals. White clad Sisters, with an exception of one, were all from Hyderabad(Sindh). We were told, the meditation they taught would give Purity, Peace and Prosperity. For sincere students, this was not difficult. For those who had relationship problems must have modified it to Purity, Peace and Love. People who had been having depression might have had Purity, Peace and Joy. This means that, if one strives to achieve Purity and Peace as the foundation, the thing which he or she is looking for is a natural fallout. With more and more practice, it is possible to reach a stage where you have all the Satogun--the seven virtues which form the Divinity in a Human Being.  It is with this and a few more gifts which you collect from your Parampita Paramatma during meditation that you receive your legitimate inheritance for the next 5000 years.

Dheere bolo, kum bolo, meetha bolo

Much is written and said about how to communicate. In fact, communication is a subject by itself. But I am going to confine only to how to speak with courtesy, so  that the listener is not hurt in any way and as a result feels a sense of quiet and peace.Since we are on spiritual path, we have to be careful to speak softly, briefly and sweetly. A true Gyani is naturally sweet in his choice of words and can make a visible difference in the way the listener will respond. More a person speaks softly and with respect, more he is able to spread peace and goodwill. Added to this, if the person is full of love and compassion for others, he has the inherent power to convert a hell-like place into a heaven. You might have noticed how even people who are in the habit of shouting at others and even abusive, suddenly calming down in the presence of a Gyani.

Be One with Shiv Baba and watch the Miracles

There is a beautiful song "Mere to Shiv Baba Ek, Dusro Naa Koi " i. e..' For me there is only Shiv Baba, and none other.' When I heard this, it  awakened in me an intense desire to make Baba my own. Through Murlis and other talks we are constantly told to remember Baba all the time or that one must be surrendered to Baba. In Rajyog meditation it is a regular practice to remember who we are and travel to Paramdham and spend our Amritwela with Baba  One sister had put a great emphasis on becoming one with Baba. I remember she advised us to write on paper maybe 108 times-- 'Mera Baba Pyara Baba Meetha Baba'. She also said, while in meditation speak to Him -tell Him 'I love you Baba'.She said try it and see what it does. And there was someone else, who gave an affirmation "Mai Baba ka aur Baba mera" I love to talk to Baba and also like affirmations. By following this for few weeks, the result I got was amazing. I am much more positive, fearless and the best part is,  my life which had stagnated for long suddenly started working.

We can be Masters of our destiny

We are all aspirants on spiritual path. Being students, we are called Brahmins, at the same time we are practitioners  known as Purusharthis and if we are at an advanced stage, one might call us a Tapasvi. We have all seen that, what we acquire in this material world is only short lived. We have therefore chosen to  change our direction and made up our mind to work for better conditions in our next incarnation, which is Satyug and through the entire Kalachakra  of 5000 years. If we carefully follow the Rajyog practice, do regular meditation , remembering Shivbaba and remembering the affirmations called Swamaan such as 'Mai master , sarvashaktiman atma hun' or 'Mai ek pavitra atma hun' or 'Mai parampita parmatma Shivbaba ki santaan hun'  i. e. remembering our spiritual father and reinforcing our true spiritual identity till it is completely ingrained into our consciousness; then, we become Masters or Adhikari of our future destiny.

Karmateet State

Karmateet state is rather a lofty state. It is no use just saying I would like to take birth in a princely family in Satyug. How much time do we have available to work on this and how much of  it would one like  to spare. We should be sure of ourselves before making a commitment. There are a number of conditions prescribed for this. Foremost is that we should learn to only give and not take, which means always putting others before yourself. This might be easy for most of us .Next is about being Ashariri  i. e. experiencing a state where one has lost one's sensation of physical body. Then living most of the time in Dehi Abhiman which is known as Atmic State. One has to be constantly in contact with Parampita and be totally detached from the worldly desires. There should be no trace of our past hangovers. To think in positive terms, we should all think of Karmateet State as our final Goal in our Tapasvi life. Only by keeping the Goal at a very high level does one have the motivation to work hard.

Can we become immortal ?

Many psychologists and scientists have been doing research on what happens to the soul once the time had come for soul to leave the body. Some have been engaged also in past life regression. We in India, have known this subject from ancient times.  I was listening to a talk by one of our Sisters on the subject of DEATH, who said, death is an  inevitable event whether in Satyug or in Kaliyug. The difference lies only in the attitude of the people.  In Satyug , people being more knowledgeable and wise did not harbor any anxiety about death and so people generally have been saying Satyug people were immortal. The people in Satyug did not suffer even during transition. For them it was as easy as changing clothes. In contrast, in Kaliyug we may have all the theoretically acquired knowledge of the process and yet we suffer, because of our attachments to number of things, including our body, which we know is worn out and requires replacement. The solution offered by the Sister was, we must build a strong relation with our Parampita, so that the transition becomes easy.  Stronger the bond with Paramatma,  less the suffering. It is then that one can ensure the  great feeling of  IMMORTALITY  which our ancestors in Satyug must have enjoyed.

Laughter -a good prerequisite for Raj Yog

In some cultures, if one laughs in the middle of a group even for a joke or keeps smiling while doing his work, he is likely to be considered weird or one who is not serious enough about life. He may be known as the Peter Pan personality, one who never seems to grow up all his life and so on, and worse still if he is in the habit of humming a song, then according to these serious minded and rather sober people this poor Peter Pan is a case fit for a psychiatrist. While this belief system may be still prevalent, a small percentage of people are realizing the value of laughter. As you can see today in many public parks, they are running Laughter Clubs. I am not saying that everybody and his brother should join these clubs. But those who have stress which they cannot handle and are suffering from diseases like insomnia or anxiety state, will find it difficult to do meditation or work with such wonderful easy affirmations like 'Om Shanti, I am a peaceful Soul'' You can see that while there is an urgent need for him to start learning Raj yog , he should as a preliminary measure, de-stress himself with a hefty dose of  laughter.

Introspection as an aid to spiritual progress

A great deal of importance is given to purifying our Mann, Buddhi and Sanskars. The basic ingredient for all this is one's faith in the Self as Atma and our relationship with our Parampita Paramatma. If this was all, then things would have been so easy. But it is how we relate to others and how we deal with constantly changing situations, that offer us the life's challenges. Do we have an open, unbiased mind? Do we easily forgive? Do we have love and compassion for others who may be less fortunate or spiritually less developed than we are? Are we making special effort to help such people or doing work in the run of the mill fashion? These are some questions we should ask ourselves. This introspection,  I feel is as important as Gyan, Yog and Seva.

Farrishte hain hum

This idea of being a Farrishta has fascinated me a lot, not only because of the beautiful large wings that come with it and the facility of flying naturally, but because an angel that is constantly doing some good for others just one day dovetails into being the Divine Being --our original state. They tell you  'Pehle tum Insaan bano, fir Farrishta, aur tab jaake Devata bano' A Good human being makes a vertical upward connection with Shivbaba our Father. He is so filled with Positivity that he is able to horizontally connect with everyone without exception. Compassion and love is very natural to this elevated human being, because by now, knowingly or unknowingly he has turned into a glowing Farrishta.

On giving Sakaash

I felt there was not much point in thinking of becoming a ' Farrishta ' if one is not really equipped to do some  good for others. The least that I can do is to send Sakaash to our Global Family. But once again the question nagged me as to how far am I qualified for this? I once heard that to send Sakaash one has to be totally surrendered.  I thought to myself, does it mean I am not sufficiently qualified, in which case I should be regularly practicing being Niraakari, Nirvikari, Nirahankaari, and that  I must follow Moun for a good 5 hours in the morning. One thing leads to another. Then on second thought, I said to myself, if my inner ecology is reasonably good and I have a strong intention to do good, Baba will in his own way,  supplement for all that is missing in me. With this logic, I started sending Sakaash  and I hope the Global Family of ours is benefiting from it.

Easy way to reach the Sthitapragya State

I read the word Prasannachitta and was fired with imagination and wanted to write my first ever Blog and just then  I heard my wife calling for help as she is unwell. My natural reaction would have been to get upset. But thanks to all those talks we hear from our Didis and Dadis online, there was a quick U-turn and I found myself laughing to myself. It is one thing to keep saying to oneself -- I am a Santushtamani, but quite another when an irritating situation arises in your life. This was one such occasion. It did not take me long to remember the formula that was to be used -- Just say  '' Wah Baba, Wah Drama '' If one is deeply rooted in the truth of  DRAMA , he can remain a good Sthitapragya under any situation no matter what.
